Adults
Approach
My approach to therapy with adults is a combination of humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, psychoeducation, and emotion-focused therapy. I believe it is important to listen carefully and develop an understanding of your concerns and difficulties. After getting a clear picture of what is happening, we can begin to work on and explore areas of your life that are significantly impacting you. Commitment, empathy and active listening are a necessary part of the foundation in developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and something that is continually evolving in therapy. I strive to ensure a safe, collaborative and caring environment that allows for growth and change.

Assessment
At this time, I am not carrying out evaluations. However, I may recommend at some point that you consider obtaining one. An evaluation can provide good diagnostic information. Evaluations can shed light on issues such as learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, personality traits, autism and other areas of concern. In addition, an evaluation can be beneficial in terms of therapeutic treatment and professional development.
